 C.PP.S. Mission Water Project: Tanzania

The Water Project, Dodoma, Tanzania

Where there is water, there is life.

               WINDMILLS, WELLS AND WATER

Since 2001, a group of volunteers in Kamloops, British Columbia have been raising money to support the work of the C.PP.S. Mission Water Project in Tanzania. Based in a compound on the outskirts of Dodoma, in central Tanzania, the Water Project has been bringing fresh, clean water to villages by drilling wells and erecting windmills to pump the water.

In 2003 the first group of Kamloops volunteers travelled to Tanzania to build a well, and in 2005 a second group built a well in the village of Iyumbu, some 20 km outside of Dodoma. In 2007, the third group from Kamloops spent the summer building a medical clinic in the same village.
